Please read them carefully before booking or participating in any activity.

2. General Conditions of Entry

    •    All visitors, guests, and participants must comply with staff instructions and all on-site signage.

    •    You are responsible for your own safety and belongings while on-site.

    •    Entry to the site or participation in any activity is entirely at your own risk.

3. Kayak Hire

3.1 Safety Requirements

Before booking or taking part in any kayaking activity:

    •    You must watch the official Disley Meadows Kayak Safety Video in full and read the accompanying safety text available on our website or booking platform.

    •    By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have watched and understood these materials and agree to follow all safety rules.

3.2 Participation Rules

    •    All participants must wear a correctly fitted buoyancy aid at all times while on or near the water.

    •    You must be able to swim at least 25 metres unaided.

    •    Alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited before or during participation.

    •    Children under 14 must share a kayak with an adult.

    •    You must follow all instructions from Disley Meadows staff.

3.3 Liability

Kayaking carries inherent risks. While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure safety, participation is entirely at your own risk.

Disley Meadows, its owners, and staff accept no liability for accidents, injury, loss, or damage unless directly caused by proven negligence.

4. Alpaca Walks and Feeding

4.1 Animal Behaviour

Our alpacas are docile, friendly, and well-trained, but they are still animals and can behave unpredictably.

By booking an alpaca experience, you acknowledge that:

    •    Alpacas may startle, move suddenly, or accidentally knock into people.

    •    You and your children must behave calmly and follow staff instructions at all times.

    •    Children must remain under close adult supervision and must not chase, shout at, or pull alpacas.

.    Alpaca feeding is subject to staff guidance and may be restricted for safety at any time. Alpacas are sensitive animals and can be startled by sudden or involuntary movements or loud noises. We warmly welcome children and adults of all abilities, including those with disabilities; however, some disabilities may involve involuntary movements that could pose a safety risk during feeding. Participation is at your own risk, and you accept full responsibility for yourself and any children or individuals in your care. The farm and its staff accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation.

4.2 Liability

Whilst we take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety of participants and animals, interaction with alpacas is at your own risk.

Disley Meadows cannot be held responsible for:

    •    Injuries or accidents arising from unpredictable animal behaviour (e.g. a child being knocked over or stepped on).

    •    Any allergic reaction, scratches, or soiling caused by animals or the outdoor environment.

5. Camping & Overnight Stays

    •    Campfires and barbecues are only permitted in designated areas and must be fully extinguished before leaving.

    •    Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10:00 p.m. to respect other guests and local wildlife.

    •    Campers must remove all rubbish and leave their pitch clean and tidy.

    •    Disley Meadows accepts no responsibility for loss or theft of personal belongings.

    •    In the event of extreme weather or unsafe conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings for safety reasons.

6. Weddings & Private Events

    •    A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due 8 weeks before the event.

    •    We strongly recommend taking out wedding or event insurance to cover cancellations, supplier issues, or weather-related disruptions.

    •    Disley Meadows is not liable for delays, cancellations, or damages caused by force majeure events (including adverse weather, pandemics, or government restrictions).

    •    You are responsible for the behaviour of your guests and for ensuring that all third-party suppliers comply with our site rules and insurance requirements.

7. Health and Safety

    •    All participants must disclose any relevant medical conditions or disabilities that could affect their ability to safely take part in activities.

    •    Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas.

    •    Alcohol consumption during activities is not permitted and may result in removal from site without refund.

    •    In the event of an emergency, you must follow staff instructions immediately.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

    •    Bookings cancelled by you more than 14 days before the activity will receive a 50% refund.

    •    Cancellations within 14 days of the activity are non-refundable.

    •    If we cancel due to safety or weather concerns, you will be offered an alternative date or credit.

    •    Deposits for weddings or private events are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
